Montessori Forms Of Measurement

RHMS Montessori children are beginning a new unit in math. They are learning to measure a variety of objects found around the classroom, using non-standard forms of measurement to find length and width. 

This easy-to-understand method is an excellent introduction before learning how to read a ruler. The children will learn to focus on key measuring skills like understanding how to choose the right tools to measure objects and the purpose of standard measurement.
