Creating Digital Art

RHMS Grade 3 students learned how to create digital art using the Procreate application on their iPads.  They acquired knowledge on the basics of the program, beginning with the layout and where each unique tool is located. 

After exploring the main tools by designing simple digital art compositions, the students were able to create more complex images with ease. They applied their knowledge of the gaussian blur technique, different types of symmetry and the clipping mask feature to create intricate and beautiful mandalas.  

The students enjoyed their time learning about this new digital application and they surprised themselves with the amount of knowledge they had at the end of the unit.
