RHMS Montessori students had a wonderful visit to Willowgrove Farm! It was a fun-filled day packed with learning and hands-on experiences.
The highlight of the trip was visiting the pumpkin patch, where the students picked a pumpkin for their classroom. They were thrilled to see the animals, including a cow, sheep, and goats. One of the most exciting parts of the day was the wagon ride, during which the children enjoyed the beautiful fall colours in the perfect weather!
As part of the activities, the children got creative by making a scarecrow and crafting a spooky face using fruits and vegetables. They also explored pumpkins in depth, learning fascinating facts about how and why pumpkins float in water. The children saw pictures of the largest pumpkin and discovered the different parts of a pumpkin and its life cycle.
