Canadiana

RHMS celebrated our annual Art Café! The annual Art Show is one of the highlights of the school year and is a chance for all the students to share their enthusiasm for Art with their families. 

 

This year, RHMS students focused on the theme "Canadiana". It depicted any aspect of Canada that was captivating, guided by the thought of the influence of what Canada means to them.  Through various art styles and using various art materials, the students applied the theme to a major piece of art inspired by Canada.

 

Each grade worked on projects such as scratch art, printmaking, and faux stained glass to name a few. The showstopper of the evening was the “Canadian Shields” piece that used Coffee Cups to create the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The collaboration featured the great things that each of Canada’s Provinces and Territories have to offer.
