The Future Is Green

The RHMS Eco Club created a Battery Blitz and encouraged students to collect dead batteries for recycling.  Batteries contain harmful chemicals and millions make their way into landfills every year.  The students took action and placed posters around the school to educate their peers about the Dead Battery Collection initiative.

We are excited to announce that our RHMS community collected 5035 dead batteries.  The batteries were taken to Call2Reycle, a national battery recycling program.  

There are many benefits of recycling and protecting our environment.  The students at RHMS joined together to help make our Earth a greener place one battery at a time!
