Montessori Northern Lights

RHMS Montessori students in room 110 have been using a new medium in art, plasticine.  The children learned how to sculpt and mold shapes with plasticine further developing their fine motor skills.  

They were wonderfully inspired by the famous children's author and fine artist, Barbara Reid. In Class, they followed one of her many art demonstrations to create this beautiful piece on canvas displaying a child enjoying the northern lights. 

The children are extremely proud of their artistic abilities and even more pleased with the finished product.
